Transgender Awareness

We are pleased to be able to offer a range of video based training course which look at what it means to be transgender today in work and the wider community.

It is estimated that around 1% of the population in Europe and the US could be ‘gender variant’ or ‘gender non-conforming’ – and this includes people who are transgender, where their gender identity differs from the one they were assigned at birth.

Although transgender people are legally protected from harassment and discrimination, many continue to encounter inappropriate language and behaviour and a general lack of awareness and understanding, both at work and in society.

Knowing how to support your transgender staff and create a respectful and safe environment for them is key to promoting their own personal well-being and ensuring that your organisation manages to harness and nurture the very best talent.

Transgender Awareness Briefing

In this 12-minute briefing Rachel Reese explains what it means to be transgender in today’s society and sets out the basics of dealing respectfully and appropriately with transgender colleagues and customers.
